Ok man. Just to prove you wrong... with AC i encoded a mp3 last year with my p200-64mb ram. Now that sounds terrible compared to if i would rip it with my p800-128mb ram. The thing is, my old pc couldnt handle the speed of the encoding and constantly produced bodgy mp3s. Now i notice nothing when i rip with AC but still im going to Lame now so i have been converted! hehe.

But hang on, I think we are talking at cross purposes here. I was referring to the actual encoded SOUND, not if there were any bumps, clicks, or glitches because a slower computer couldn't handle the encoding instructions. So in the sense we are both right!

And yep that sight I posted is a real eyeopener. I've never had my MP3's sound so clear.

Ha ha. Cool. I'm just glad nothing turned nasty. I hate heated discussions on forums!

What do I use with Lame? I use Razorlame v1.1.4. It's a great little utility which makes you select all the options and lets you batch encode. You just have to make sure that the lame.exe is in the same directory as your Razorlame folder. Just use the settings that are posted at the R3mix site. (I like 256kb, but some people say that's an overkill)
You can use lame with certain CD Ripper Software also of course.

Getting back on topic here, I have reduced the noise considerably in the original rip, and I'm actually quite impressed with the results myself! No more unsightly buzzing, and I managed to do it with little degradation to the original clarity. Anyhow, if anyone wants a copy let me know. Or it might be easier If I could give it to Simcut or Swamper to up to the site as to save myself a lot of extra uploading. It hurts only having a 56k...

Finally I can listen to this track as it should be!

If you want DJ Scot Project-O go to napster and type in dj scot project- overdrive----the radio edit sounds good to me!
