Avoid wet food. Expensive plus like someone said dental problems.

We give ours The Aristocats wet food (not every day, maybe 3 times a week)

For dry food, we give them Meow Mix Tender Centers.

Done it prior to posting the thread. I wouldn't have asked this question if the internet provided me with an answer better than "do it for the orphans"

It really doesn't matter all that much.

I mean don't get Dollar-store shit and your cat will probably be fine. If there are weird behaviours and health problems, sure- look into it, and maybe change the food up in case he's allergic or deficient in something. Overall, though, mulling over the food choices (especially the expensive ones) is like spending 10 mins at the store deciding which brand of organic canned green beans will be the best. It doesn't matter. It's canned green beans.

I got our cats Blue Buffalo for a time and they absolutely loved it- it seems like they ate less of it because it was so dense and nutritious. At $50 a bag though, I was skeptical. But then they suddenly shied away from it, as though Blue Buffalo changed up the ingredients, we got a 'weird' batch, or they simply got tired of it. Who knows. Cats!

Yes! When I got my cat she was so sad when I had to go to work... but once I got her a buddy they are both happy pussys. Do it!

I have to feed my cat a special venison food that costs $50 a bag. She was allergic to everything else we tried.

My parents have just got two new kittens (brothers) and they are infinitely entertaining to watch as they play-fight, climb and explore endlessly. So two are a lot more fun as a spectator. However, it is true that one cat is much likely to bond with its owner. As for loneliness during the day, I wouldn't worry too much as cats tend to sleep a lot through the afternoon and are often more active at night.

Well it's great that you were sensitive to your cat's needs, but YOUR CAT IS WEAK JINGLES, JUST LIKE YOU.

I buy 18lbs bag Purina One Salmon & Tuna. Most economical food I could find that my cat would eat that didn't have cornmeal as first ingredient. Benefits poop doesn't smell as bad, eats less, and healthier.
