Several DJ friends I know use custom made earplugs. I can't remember the name at the moment, but they are for musicians and DJs, and you mail them off a mold of your ear for them to craft custom plugs, or something along these lines. My memory fails me. Can anyone recommend any?

My left was permanently damaged a while back - I tuned on my system with my cans on and was leaning on my synth which happened to be set to this loud wail, and you know when suddenly the interface springs to life there is sometimes an extra loud quick volume burst, well I fell off my chair with it.

Ever since then things like car radio can irritate the ear
