Took a lil trip today to a town where I was able to test some monitors, so far from what I heard there and what Mr Darek and Mr Robotrance suggested here, the JBLs look like to be the kind of monitors I am looking for. 80% decided to buy them, any other personal reviews about them are welcome

Lol, you can skip "Mr" before my name lol and send PM to "DJ RANN" for your final JBL's recommendation.
Cheers mate,
Darek

No ideea, I live in Denmark now, ordered them from thoman.de , but most probably more or less the same like in other EU countries, in Romania only the wages are low, the prices are the same like in the rest of Europe , except beer which is cheaper then water xD

Good choice on the JBL's; I was a skeptic about 5" drivers as the lay of things had always been you couldn't get adequate bass response from cones that small. I did a massive shootout a few years back with all the monitors readily available at the time and to my surprise the JBL LSR2325p's were the best bang for buck (sub $800) monitors out there. It was only when you went up the Yama HS80's that it was worth the upgrade (and the JBL's were only $400 per pair).
For some reason they discontinued them but JBL's next offering, 305's picked up where they left off.
The HS80's are very good monitors for the money, but they really don't sound good at all in smaller rooms, whereas the JBL's are really forgiving in smaller or untreated rooms. It's dark magic really how JBL were able to do it, as nearly every other small (<5") monitor has sucked in terms of low frequency.
Even the Genelecs (which as a brand are great) are really harsh when you try to push them for low end, to the point you fatigue in less than an hour of use.
I should really do another shootout on what's available now....
