Oh, ok. I guess you're certain in your opinion, then. I hold a different opinion, however.

I know right? it's the holy fucking grail of medical research and any company that made the breakthrough would pretty much take over the world with its profits.

I fucking love how illogical this shit is.

'They're all in a cartel together to keep down cancer research! All they care about is profit! None of them are human at all!'

'But also, despite their love of money, genius, and indecency, they totally couldn't figure out a way to make FUCK TONS of money off of their invention that would be loved by all of mankind.'

Weapons-grade twattery is, I believe, the correct term for such a thought process.

Interesting. I have a strong belief that Iboga does, indeed, cure various mental and physical disorders (which I believe I've mentioned in the Iboga thread), and it also happens to be far cheaper than perhaps virtually all other "treatment" methods that don't actually cure. The country of Gabon and other places could've been charging millions for curing various malaise, but they don't. Go figure, eh?

it's perfectly fine you believe this, especially since you actually have experience with it. that's different from claiming the reason it's not an accepted treatment generally is due to "big pharma" keeping the little guy down.

well if they conducted clinical trials and published studies proving its efficacy then someone obviously could make some decent dollars out of it. what's your point?

I maintain my opinion on the matter, which I've already elaborated on.

Absolutely. My point and implication was that I've never yet seen pharma companies/hospitals charging hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars for an actual "cure."

I'm not sure about the veracity of this, but my friend/provider in Spain told me Holland will be conducting the first human clinical trials with Iboga this or next year, so we'll see what happens.

you can opine all you like, you haven't actually provided any evidence to support your suspicions that big pharma are keeping iboga on the down low. you even state below that there could be clinical trials coming, which clearly undermines your point.

I'm sure the lack of serious study into Iboga is all because big pharama is controlled by psychopathic capitalists, and not because of deaths experienced by users:

B-b-b-but what happens when ibogaine is recognized as the instant-panacea for mental illness that I'm sure it is and is then co-opted by big pharma and turned into a pill regimen similar to the medications available now for mental illness??
