I'm confused as to how this could be considered trance. And I'm even more confused as to why he reverted to his LSG alias to release it.

That first one wasn't bad but it's something that gets played in the first 90 minutes of the night, when the club is still filling up. The other one...uhh ok.

Some boring shit. The electronic music universe has plenty of tracks that sound like those two, not sure Lieb needed to resurrect the LSG alias to release more of it. Bizarre.

Sounds more of a Solieb release. Some aliases remain better untouched. Have to agree with what others said, filler material, obviously a marketing ploy to gain more attention in this oversaturated industry. Volpe is an OK track - but that really loud obnoxious noise synth really takes away from the overall deepness.

Yeah, it reminds me a lot of Infectious #2 from The Hive, but instead of a tech-trance undertow you've got that very typical rapid-pattern subby bassline and sedate groove that every tech house record has these days.

Seems like he's taken the deeper end of LSG (IE: The Black Album and The Hive) and tried to make it playable for modern melodic tech DJs. I suppose that makes a certain amount of sense if done well (whether he's done it particularly well here is debatable) but it's obviously going to leave cold anyone hoping for a new Netherworld.

not hoping for a new Netherworld or track track even.. LSG was never about Trance. Having listened to the previews in there, I can hear a lot of LSG stuff but it's not strong enough for me imo & doesn't work with Tech House! Techno... absolutely!

volpe might be okay if it had more thump to it and a bit more space

like lsg stuff always did have

somebody like julian jewell or the tronic guys would probably nail a remix

Not an LSG fan, but this totally blows anyway.

I hope he brings back his old sound. Personally, I love his works from '93-'96 including his self titled debut track, lonely Cassiopeia, waterflow, hearts, fragile, and hidden sun of Venus. There is something dark, melodic, yet fast paced and well put together. Really starting to fully appreciate that era of trance and techno a lot more. Is it even possible to re-create that old school sound with today's equipment?

Sure. There are a lot of people now making very credibly oldschool sounding house and techno with new gear, I don't see why that couldn't be the case for trance aswell. However it does require a very different approach than the common modern digital production style.

Those tracks are pretty good. Surprised they only have 15 views.
Miss tracks from L.S.G. Like this though:
