Thanks for the tips. Went to europe ealier this summer and was pretty damn expensive , traveled like a nooob. First time overseas since graduating.

As far as Timewarp goes
Traveling to NYC isnt terribly expensive coming from virginia. Either a train which you can get for like 50-80 dollars if booked early or the china bus for super cheap but extra dangerous

Hahaa! hey I learned it and it's saved me thousands of dollars. It's really the only reason I've been able to travel so much the past 2 years.

Stoked on the full lineup and I was one of the lucky ones to grab a tier 1 ticket.

What are your food/drinking expenses though? I just got back from my trip and we only paid for 3 flights while in Europe which were dirt cheap, but food was pricey. Especially in the UK. The only exception was Spain which was cheap for both food & drinking.

the UK is pricey nothing much you can do to get around that, hard to swallow once you 50% of your money right away.

Europe I don't find expensive at all unless you're in Ibiza. Meal costs for the most part are the same as the US. Holland beers are 2 euros pretty much the same across the rest of Europe. Europe is also all about street food in a lot of cities and that is usually dirt cheap. Such amazing street food out there though.

I've found that holland, france, germany and a lot of other places are really cheap. The problem when a lot of Americans travel over there is sticking to the tourist zones which are always a lot higher priced. Makes a huge difference when you you walk down the next block that is for locals.

Perfect example of that is Playa, Mexico. Everyone eats on 5th, literally everybody! You're meals are 500 to 600 pesos. The girlfriend and I walked a block over to 2nd and ate in the neighborhoods and saved hundreds of pesos. If you're in playa you gotta walk over to Asadero el Pollo some of the best grilled chicken I've ever eaten. We got a full chicken, rice and beans and two cokes for 110 pesos.

So in short walk a block away from the tourist zones. Google how to eat like a local of whatever city you're in.
