Could be less rare, but that's purely speculation. The drug has been approved since the 90's and there's literally tens of millions of users. I'm not sure I;d want to go on it but I do get (and have seen) that a guy losing his hair can really fuck with them and their esteem.

And apparently the persistent sides you mention are incredibly rare (i.e. "normal" sides occur less than 5% of the time, and of those a very small fraction like 0.01% are severe or long lasting).

There's a lot of scare mongering about this stuff. Most people who have taken things like Finasteride or Dut are fine, and those that get sides, just stop taking it and they go away.

Apparently there's yet to be a real documented case of permanent sides and all the cases that claimed it, were found to already have those issues to some degree (i.e. they already had a dodgy wang before going on it).

Some pepople can just rock the dome and it suits them (see Stu for more detail), but I'd look fucking ridiculous. Some heads can go there, others cannot.

They may be only a fraction of the overall user base, but you're still rolling the dice with that drug. I'm also incredibly wary of believing the official statistics that came from trials that have been denounced as "systematically biased".

Funny, I've heard the opposite. I've heard that even fat, bald, middle aged bricklayers can clean up with Chinese girls if they go to live over there, with the indigenous menfolk having a reputation for being alcoholics who can't get it up when it counts. They did, because Merck got sued over labelling discrepancies between Europe (UK, Italy and Sweden to be specific) and the USA - Essentially tow men in the USA filed lawsuits against them stating that the warnings were different.

The FDA is a fucking joke so I take very little credence in their official trials, but sadly its all we have to trust in as an approval process, except independent peer reviewed studies....but they are often expensive so have to be paid for by someone with deep pockets and that's usually by other big drug companies and then bias is just as present in the other direction.

There was however a quite in depth independent study on the sexual side effects and although a little higher than Marck's numbers, the difference is realistically negligible and the occurrence is less than 3% of users.

The problem with the scare mongers is that they shout the loudest and make sure EVERYONE knows they had evil side effects.

Also there has been a concerted nefarious efforts by group of Asian business guys to scare the fuck out of Finasteride users online - It turns out they're pushing untested new alternatives such as RU and when their shit got lab tested by a user group forum it was found to be pretty nasty impure chemicals. It led to them getting banned from all the major hairloss forums and Reddit subs.

There's no denying there's side but again, it's rare and even when they do occur, it's a case of stopping them and they disappear, just as in Eric's case.

I personally don't think taking a drug that messes with your hormones is a great idea, especially when there are naturally occurring substances that will regulate DHT (Emu, Caster etc).

This is true and while I'm no expert I know guys who can't get laid in a whorehouse in Europe or the US, go to China and become a raging Adonis.
