I created this thread and did not check it out for a week. I can't believe what everyone's posting.
East Coast vs. West Coast, Eh? I haven't seen east coast, but west coast raves were great a couple years ago. The 21+ clubs are still growing to be better, while raves to me disappeared. Of course, I would think that the east coast is better, but I'd have to see for myself. Living in L.A. is great cuz there's so much to do, and trance parties aren't anywhere near the top of the list of things to do, but it's slowly growing.
All I can say is give it time. I'm pretty sure some people out there has gone to parties on both coasts and prefer the west better than the east and vice versa. It all depends on who you are and what you like.
I knew this guy from Philly who came down every year for this rave called Ju Ju beats, and someone else flew in from Washington D.C. for Electric Daisy Carnival. So people in the east do in fact like west coast parties. There will always be people out there sayig east is better than west and vice versa. As for 21+ clubbing, I'd have to agree with the fact that some people out here in the west don't know WTF is going on.
Back to the topic, I'm still going to Giant Village and will end up having a kick ass time. Whatever negativity Giant has, hopefully it will be gone after NYE. One thing all of us have to remember, Giant started it all by bringing international DJ's to L.A. for 21+ clubbing and I think we should thank them for that.
A great party needs three things...
1)well known DJ's playing good music
2)nice set up location
3)the crowd
For me, all I need is #1 on the list. Lates
