i'd rather leave the radio off then listening to either (which i do, but tune in to a rock station from time to time)

Well here in houston, for the people who listen to fine electronica, for the most part its house and uplifting trance, but for the uneducated masses its wat we and some of the other Houston TA's have dubbed Bullshit breaks. Its basically local djs producing theses mysitk tyope mixes absolutely garabage, and that sir is the musical demographics of my area.

stupid dance music with greek vocals that sounds like commercial trance of 1996...
Here in orlando i think the most popular genres are breaks and House. Breaks are starting to ween out and house is slowly making its way to the scene.

Ofcourse top 40 music is the most popular genre here in Holland (but that's everywhere the same in the whole world, so no surprise...). But if we're to talk about the most popular electronic genre. Well it's kinda hard to say, but I think trance still is the main genre over here. Although hardstyle (or hardhouse) is getting more and more popular (e.g. Innercity has hardstyle diva Lady Dana as closing DJ ). Techno is becoming more popular too.
Well, I'd say trance is still number one in Holland, but hardstyle probably will take over in the near future.

In Victoria, it's all about "sexy house music" It's pretty grim here, we do sometimes get some all right Dj's in town though.
