OMG, i as dutch ta can't believe they'd charge this much for a ticket to see a dj (even if it is NYE).. there's a big party here in holland (Qontact, marco v, gielen, rank1, astrid, jon the dentist) for only 35 euros that's about 35 dollars! unbelievable..

Are you sure it is Tiesto's fault?

He is doing a 6 hour set at Godskitchen, England, on December 6th for £11 entrance ($16 US). He did the same at the same club a month or two back for the same price.

If one event charges FIFTEEN times the cost of another, with the same DJ for a similar length of time, maybe it is the club and not the DJ who is trying to rip you off?

What a waste of money, more clubs will charge those kind of prices if they know they can get away with it. Surely NYC must have something else on??

right on, does one really think the dj deceidedes what the entry fee will be, as long as tiesto gets his own check he won't complain if the fee is free, why would he!

I hope Tiësto enjoys playing to a club full of stupid rich people who don't give a crap about his music.

No, the admission is NOT Tiësto's fault, but he has still put his name on the ticket and it reflects on him, as my friend Evan said, so he should care about it. And I think DJ's do have some idea of what admission is going to be...not sure tho, he should make it his buisness to find out tho, if he cares about his fans.

I did some quick math and figured that even if Tiësto charges $100,000 for his booking fee, club World stands to make a $350,000 profit for that night. So I think they could afford to lower the admission a bit, huh!?!

Seriously, I don't believe some of you guys...

1) Just because a person can afford to pay $200 to see Tiesto, doesn't mean he doesn't give a shit about the music. I know at least 3 fans of Tiesto who can afford this easily. Hell, I could afford it if I was working full time.

2)This is New York. This is New Years Eve. Everything is fuckin' expensive. We paid 50USD to hear 6 hour set by PVD at Roxy, which wasn't during NYE and not in such expensive venue. 50USD is unbelievable by Canadian standards, but it was absolutely normal for everybody from New York.

3) Many DJs do 2-3 gigs a night on NYE. Tiesto is doing only one. Consequently I wouldn't be surprised if he charges 3 times his normal rate.

i am paying $31 to go to my favorite club on NYE. $200 is completely unreasonable.

So your saying since Ny'rs get ripped off all year round that we deserve to have it happen on NYE also.
