If you didnt know, AMERICA depends on the rest of the world, and if americans themself careless about the outside cultures, then its a scary thing to know whats coming for the future , although there will be the LOGICAL person that will at least know and be educated enough. but still, the people are the ones that vote, and to vote they need knowledge of who, why, what, when questions about that person.
So I think its just wrong for them to be ass ignorant, just cause they dont need to .. mmmmm

well you got me there..i can not disagree i myself am from another country and the majority of my major are asians..so that is true and its kinda sad..cause if u look at most americans..they will be the frat boys in english majors and some worthless majors...so u do have a point..but the thing is there is no such thing as an original american..when someone post a message from europe u will immediately think he is white or something but from the us u have no clue...it is full of all kind of people now..hell european americans are becoming distinct these days..

Dude, this is from 1999 "This page of GDP per capita ranking of countries is based on figures from the 1999 CIA world factbook. As a rule the GDP per capita data used to rank the countries is as of January 1999."

Im sure it has changed in various ways, the USA could still be # 1, I know it is, but as things are going with all the restrictions, the USA has gone down with the money its got, I dont know about earnings, but ever since the current president NOW on the USA ( dont wanan say hehehe ) .. His been spending money on military ( rising their income like crazy ) .. tax cuts, and the security w/e he wants to creat, which will cause the loss of some 400,000 federal employes, which will bring it down more.. but this is not the topic.

ANother thing I want to point out, this survey also shows that people from the OUTSIDE know better what the population of the USA is, more then americans themself, who called out to be 2 - 3 billion .. mmmmmm read it .. it says it there.

Guy...Your opinion is not fact...and it's fine to have your own opinion...but don't get pissed off when you find out your wrong.

They don't do this type of analysis every month you know, it take thousands of people working to get stats like these.

Nothing drastic changes in a few years, this is world economey, not how much your parents make.

Here is some more info for you...

Find my wrong where? I never said the USA is not the riches country in the world, but been rich doesnt mean you are educated . This its got nothing to do if you are rich or not. Some of the richest countries are the OIL ONES .. which we all know, but are they educated enough ?!
Did you know that the smartest kidds come from THAILAND ? ....

Switzerland has 7340604
America has 276768280

I quote from the National Gepgraphical Database:
The US has the most powerful, diverse, and technologically advanced economy in the world, with a per capita GDP of $31,500, the largest among major industrial nations.

Standard of living and income per person is a different story, in that case my Country Canada would be third in the world, behind Sweden and the swiss.

well, some of us were talking about the richest country in the world, off course America has more money then Switzerland, it is 500 times bigger then Switzerland, so you have to look at it relatively. The top10 of that list you are showing are the biggest Industrial nations in the world, but does that also mean that they are the richest countries in the world??

Don't think so

if you want to judge which country is the richest you have to look at standard of living and income, because that is what makes people rich

guy..bigger government=more people=more money. That just mean how much the average persons income is in the country, which can be factors like inflation, taxes..etc...Read what the statistics are please....
(or better yet, ask your teacher)

If statistics dosen't prove it to you...:P which they should. Then look at it this way, The Entertainment Buisness in America is a 2 Billion dollar a year industry.

The swiss will be lucky to put out more then 6 films, (governemtn funded)....You tell me who is the richer country..lol
