I wouldn't say London ("Landon") has more than one accent, but it just sounds a lot thicker in the East of the city. I think it sounds a bit more nasal in south East London as opposed to the rest of the East. But to a foreigner most Londoners will sound similar.

People who aren't from the East of London get annoyed when you call them cockneys, but the rest of the country just calls all of London cockneys anyway

That's because you're not a cockney if you're not from the East End of Londond

It's rare to find somebody who was born and raised in another part of London speaking like a cockney. Sure the accent is the same, but the cockney dialect is strictly an East End thing.

To make things even more confusing cockney can be shortened down even more eg if someone calls you a berk it is short for Berkshire hunt = c.u.n.t
If you want to hear cockney first hand go to the street market out side Waterloo station.
Also in london we have the rude boy accent which is a kind of ali g
/ black ameican / gangster wannabe.
There's some black accent wich is used in central and south london.
West london is just your normal south east accent wich is probly the simplest to understand.

London rude boyz really piss me off

Possibly the most annoying thing about London, except maybe the price of everything.

We don't get many up here, but we do get loads of charvas!
