I totally agree with u luke, Mikey put in an excellent mix, i have been fortunate enough to hear it and i have to say i am dead impressed with mikey.
He shows a natural talent for hitting the beats, getting it all timed right and making a set flow nicely.
Again i post my congratulations to Mikey for winning the last mix comp.
Well done Mikey ! ! !

hmmmmm didn't mention anything about a theme
How about each person chooses there own theme, and give a little info on why they chose each track etc.....
it'll stop the restriction that gibbo mentioned.....

Nice idea mate, I think that a theme can just be like 'dark' or 'energetic' and will help those with smaller vinyl collections too

I find it' s not a good idea because each person must be judged on the same theme...I think it' s the reason to choose ONE theme.

I hope you understand me because my english suxxxxxx

I understand u yes, but if somebody just chooses one theme, it may restrict some peoples styles, if everyone chooses there own theme they can do whatevr they want within it, and therefore get the best mix they can do, as long as they explain the theme properly

Well nice to see me name in there. As 4 a theme, it seems to be causing some conflict already! i think if the theme is chosen well we could have one that doesnt restrict any1 due to their vinyl collection. Then again we could go with the other idea of choosing ur own theme but then there could be some very ambiguous things like a strings mix or something. Fucks knows wot im on about cuz my brain is mashed and having trouble thinkin.

Well im glad i cleared all that up 4 every1!

hmm...hmm...
Right, it may restrict some peoples styles...

"they explain the theme properly "...very difficult for me !!!lol

So, judges choose the best idea

DJRavemonkey, no conflict !
I hope all competitors will be agree with judges decisions.

Well, I'm back, and better than ever.

I have recently started mixing vinyl, so now i feel i can judge even better ...

As for the theme...

I DO like Az' idea of everyone picking their own theme, like DJ Zevan did in a previous comp (nothing but James Holden).

I also like the CLASSICS-theme, ... But i'm afraid the mix i hear last will have shit marks, just cause i'm bored to death while listening. There are only SO MANY classics, ... and out of 25 mixes, i bet there are a lot of songs i hear for over 20 times ...

Should anyone have any superb idea's for a theme, please make it public ...

greetz
