How much are you paying for the modem and what brand & model?
Just get the Billion modem, it's $190 or so, a great bargain and reports are that it works great.

Also do a search for it in the forums. I think almost all users are happy with it.

I was disappointed to buy the D-Link DSL500 for $390, I could have saved a couple of hundred if I had known of the Billion.

Billion looks to be an excellent modem/router .. I have one en route as we speak

You may want to get another hard disk drive too, and maybe a DVD writer.

f(*&^(*&$# pgl, couldn't get adsl but already bought the modem anyway

guess that means we're stuck with cable until copper lines come back
