The Real Review


I arrived at arc around 3 am to see about 30 or 40 people in the club. This was probably due to the fact that it was FREEZING outside. Noal Sanger through down a great progressive set to warm up for Piu. At 4:15 Piu gets on the Decks. He opens with some energetic progressive tracks. About 2 tracks into it me messed up the mixing of a track But besides that his set was FLAWLESS I am not great with Id's either but just to mention it for tom he played a track called Magic Impulse. Fucking awsome!!!!!! and then Taub !!!!! He stayed on until 6:30


Piu you did a great job man


Well at this point me and tom were getting ready to leave and go to gregs house. On my way out I see my good freind Daniela (trance.nu) at the door of Arc. She trys to get into Arc to apoligize to Piu for missing his set (she knows him personaly) Well they said no, but on our way over to gregs we get a call from greg saying that him caryn and Natalie are going to a Cafe' with Mario. Holy Shit well the 3 of us rush our asses over there to meet with them.


Mario, I know your going to be reading this and I want to thank you for being such a cool guy and hanging with us after arc. Your set really made me see what an awsome dj you are. I wish you the best luck and hope to see you back in Ny real soon.

Natalie,Melisa greg, caryn,Alex and Natelies young looking friend I had a great time with you guys. For such a small crowd we really brought the vibe up in that place.


ps. Greg thanks for letting us relax at your apartment. We couldnt walk after that set. MARIO killed me

I had an awesome time seeing Mario Piu. First off, Noel Sanger played a great warm up set. Arriving at Arc so late I thought I would get there half way through Piu's set. Instead it was halfway through Noel Sanger's. The club had a suprisingly low turnout. It was cool to know almost half the people in there. I also liked having all that room to dance and move around. Piu's set really impressed me. He played some really good hardstyle tunes mixed with some tech and some trance.

LOL, I'm kinda embaressed. By the end of the night I didn't know what the hell was going on. Next thing I know I'm sitting across from Piu in a diner watching him eat breakfest. Felt kinda out of place. I hope I did nothing to embarress anyone. I wasn't really expecting to go to any public places after the club.

i wasn't surporsed at all. arc does not cater to a trance crowd usually. none of the regulars came out saturday.

Regardless, Noel Sanger was progressive, & he was the headliner. The manager told me ARC was unussually thin the nite before as well. Prolly due to finals, x-mas shopping/ spending, people being partied out from the week before, etc....

hmm...quality, not quantity!

for there being so few people there, arc really had a great vibe and tons of energy that night. it really picked up when mario came on.

Dammit i wonder how mario must have felt. Sure he got paid but fuck i would be pissed. Comming all that way for 100 people. that must discourage him to come back to N.American scene.
