mmm.. does a good tune have to have a higher bmp then 125?.. okay i agree it's nice to have a nice paced tune.. but the latest of tiesot productions were good.. and btw, die another day is very powerfull.
why does everyone always refer to the past, like it was always better then.. music changes as do genres and the manners in which they are produced.. progressive is good.. standing still is bad! |
thats not what I meant at all, I like progressive, and listen to progressive a lot, and I know there are plenty of powerful tunes under 130 BPM, just none of tiesto's are. We are all made of stars is depressingly boring, the dirty vegas mix of die another day destroys the tiesto mix. Yes music moves forward, most producers just get better at producing tunes they've always done, not switch genres completely. Standing still is bad, but looking back now and again when you're move forward ( ), is a good thing. Tiesto's recent productions seem to have lost his roots, and that was the point I was trying to make. He soooooooooooooooo wants to be Paul Oakenfold

so you didn't like: never, tears from the moon, breezer, die another day (haven't heard dirty harry remix yet, but tiesto was goood!!!)
i think that tiesto is coming back after a couple of mediocre remixes (most he didn't produce btw).. |
I didn't like "never" at all, couldn't get into it. I like the first few minutes of tears from the moon, then it kind of go's downhill, it's nothing compared to the hybrid mix. Breezer is pretty good actually, I'll let u have that one, and I can't get into die another day either
Mosh man we've been over this, I bashed you because of the way you went about bashing dumonde, you made a new thread saying there new tune sucked (in huge bold type i may add), when there was already a thread asking for peoples opinions!
there was no need to make your thread, and the way you went about criticising it, especially as Jam X and De Leon are regular visitors to the site
I just think there's been a noticeable decline in tiesto's work he was a very good uplifting producer, but he's pretty mediocre at whatever genre he's trying to pull off now

How can we take someone's opinion serious when you like Dumonde?!
