well there is Traxx in Mississauga, which is shit, cause the carry shit loads of mainstream trash (i.e. r&b/hip-hop/top40) but also surprisingly some prog-house (mostly old stuff) and almost no trance.
Play Da Record is ok although everything is a mess, you have to go through the piles of vinyls to find anything you are looking for, but it's worth it sometimes. But they carry all geners of music it seems except for classical.
The Pitt the worst of the worst customer service wise. The owner or the manager who ever he is, he is the biggest prick alive. As soon as you walk in, he gets on your back and hands you like a 100 vinyls that he thinks you should buy. It would be nice if he knew anything about it at all, but the thing is he loads you up on crap! And the looks he gives you if you don't buy a lot of records. Last time when I was there, i walked in with 2 records that I bought at Release he smashed them on the floor after i handed them over to him. Literally and gave me a dirty look. The records were ok, but I grabbed them and walked out and swore to never go back to that shit hole ever again! The Pitt is also affraid that you are going to steal their needless, so their equipment is all shit, and you can't hear a thing when you listen to the vinyls. The mixers are shit, the decks are all fucked and they are all pricks there. Except for the black guy, he is nice, but I am not returning to that shit hole ever again!
Release Records is the best one around, they might be a little more expensive, and carry mostly only progg-house, but they have a little section for trance and techno as well. And all you D&B junkies can get your fix there too! Best service on this planet, the most upfront limited promos and the nicest staff ever!
