I think a lot of people take this "Cheese" idea a little too far, just because a song has a nice melody or has vocals that includes the word "love" in it should not automatically make it a cheesy song, also the popularity of the song should not be a fact weather a song is cheesey or not. I think that a cheesy song is a song that tries to be somethings that it's not, for example...Darude - Sandstorm, this song tries to be trance but trance is a lot more than just a simple and fast beat being play over and over again through out the song, also a cheesy song is one that is made purposely for a mainstream listers to make money, like with pop and R&B music. If I didn't take some of the things a said above into consideration, there would probably tons of song I would say is cheesy, like... oh this song is to popular, sounds too simple, too many love words in it, too many non-trance listers like it, or it's playing on the radio. Anyways after saying what I said, there are lots of song that I like that would be consider as "hardcore trance" songs like ......
Ian Van Dahl - Castles in the sky
Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia
Paul Van Dyk - We are alive (Radio mix)
I have no shame in liking these songs because I don't consider them as cheesey, as for songs that I hate my myself for liking it becase it's cheesy??? I don't have any, I have no interest in that kind of music.
