im pretty sure there's a 24 hour coffee shop just around the corner from corona (on roncesvalles, east side of the street, just north of queen)
as for my formal review
words cannot explain last night
after trying to be the human navigator and use my best judgement to find the place, me and my gf were lost . after busting out the trusty road map that looks like its from the late 70s we finally found our way there around 8
after about 45 minutes of people trying to fix the system, and me standing around like a goof, i decided to hit up mcdonald's. came back to hear mecha (my record crate body guard ) warming up the night with his dark dirty progressive. nothing but solid tunes were heard from this man. keep up the good work buddy.
i stepped up to the decks around 10:15, just as people started to pile into hte club out of nowhere. i swear, i looked down to do a mix, i looked up and hte smoke machine completely covered the dancefloor. the smoke cleared and the place was packed! i don't think ive ever seen a crowd go crazier than they did when i played "x-it to nowhere". you just knew there were tons of ta's and lurkers of ta there who must've downloaded it from the main site recently because ive played that tune a couple other times live and didn't get nearly the same reaction as last night. man that put such a smile on my face and then the TUNE signs came out
i hope everyone enjoyed my set, i sure enjoyed spinning it for you guys. the tota's sure know how to party, jesus christ!
after i got off the decks my back was absolutely killing. i think it was from putting tracks on the left deck. there was this big box (i think it was the amps and stuff) thing blocking the whole left side of the booth that you had to lean over to reach the deck on the left side. so i decided to take it easy for the rest of the night and just chill to eso's set.
1 word can describe his set
UN-FUCKING-BELEIVABLE!
this guy can put any big name dj to shame. he spun one of THE best sets ive heard live, ever. he took the crowd on a euphoric journey, and just when you thought he was going to give the crowd a little breather, BAM! he hits us with another storming tune. amazing, amazing set from eso, especially considering i knew first hand how hard that setup was to work with and how hard it was to hear yourself up there. tons of respect to peter for spinning trance the way it should be.
finally, after an extended set from eso, it was time for fuzion to come on. i really didn't know what to expect from him, having never heard him play before. but he did not dissapoint. great track selection and great mixing. seems like the crowd was feeding off the harder side of trance. great set.
all in all, that was the best night for me in 2002. aside from all the bullshit that went on early in the night, everyone managed to have a great time and provide something that i haven't seen in god knows how long. A VIBE! that's something ive sure missed, but man o man did it come back with a vengence last night. if anyone saw someone without a smile on their face, you should've taken a picture because i won't believe you if you told me.
10/10 for sure.
can't wait for the next one

rofl. i agree, rj is a joker. he shuffled his was across the dancefloor many a time. great guy though.
well, since i was coming down from kitchener, i had no clue as to where i was off to, so i called hordash to get some info. helped me out, but when i took the streetcar down queens west, i had no clue it turned into queensway! so i had to get a streetcar back to queen's... added an extra 15-20 min...
got in there, and i was surprised, very busy. from everyone i talked to, they said it was a lot better than en-trance 1.0 met some people that i met at talla, tried to remember their names, but i suck. shoutouts are worthless since i can't remember most of you and sorry if people were talking to me and i couldn't hear you... i know lkd got pissed off at me for that!
was there for eso's set, very melodic and uplifting set. at some parts i was feeling it, other parts it was hands in the air a little too mellow for me, but i'm in a hard groove right now. loved for an angel though.
as for fuzion's set, wow. sic sic sic. i was lovin the hardtrance, expecially with dumonde - can you dig it. crazy track. marco v - godd got me moving too. can't remember any other tunes, but they were banging.
all in all, the party wasn't really worth my 27$ bus ticket down, but hey, i had a great time meeting new people, and partying with the ta massive. if i did it again, i'd ust make sure i knew what i was doing after the party. fucking big slice's shitty pizza, then waiting around in the freezing cold for the subway to open... god, lol.
oh well's. time for work. looking forward to another party with all the ta's.
p.s. my pics should be up by tonight.

Mad fun
Needless to say, every one of the DJ's last night was excellent. Plenty of bombs being dropped by some very talented individuals who know how to please the crowd.
Yeah, I'm sure we all could've done without the crap at the door, but that was soon forgotten once you were on the dancefloor.
Speaking of the dancefloor, I like how the ginos and thugs would stand there, arms crossed, and stare... You'd only think that it's called a 'dance'floor for a reason. As for those who were actually dancing, many like madmen , everyone seemed to be having a great time.
Oh, and 'Grandpa' added a nice touch to the night, lol. I'm just happy I got out of his way without having been fondled by him. (Old, drunken Russian men scare "beautifool girrels".)
'Twas my first event out with TA's and a damn good one at that. Everyone was so nice and it's great to get to put faces to words and screennames. Chris, it was great to finally see you in person, and thanks for gettin' me to come.
I'll have to drag more asses out to the next one, but I have to do some converting first. Damn you, Kiss 92 and Z103... lol
All in all: DJ's were sick, TA's were great, and a fun night was truly had.
Thanks to all who made it happen!
I know I'll have to do it all over again next year...
(Btw, RJ, you've now inspired me to become the one to "fuck up Coke", haha)

TUUUUUUUNNNAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE
That was one gripping journey! People make the party and I’ve always believed that, the place’s got nothing to do with it, we could’ve thrown a party in my basement and it would’ve been just as phenomenal because the trance addict crew knows how to party hard. Massive respect to all the party people who were setting the dancefloor on fire last night, the vibe was sheer class! Shout outs to everyone who supported en-trance, it’s greatly appreciated and it’s a given that the next trance addict extravaganza will be even better! Thanks huge for coming out!
The beats were absolutely phenomenal, MASSIVE BLOODY TUNAGE !!! I couldn’t make it before 11 so I regrettably missed Mecha’s set and a portion of Kid Lax’s set. You only have to listen to Mecha – Mechanism to detect this man’s ability, his set @ Turbulence totally blew me away and I’m sure the ones who got to en-TRANCE nice and early got their dose of proper dark and dirty progressive. Kid Lax: who is this guy? The man resurrected me after the mediocre Tiesto experience last weekend. I’m a believer once again! Impeccable track selection, immaculate mixing, awesome personality, it was a pleasure moving to his sounds. ESO is the man! You got to respect the guy who’s behind it all and it’s a pleasure to be around somebody who gives it all out for the music. The euphoria conveyed through his sounds is blistering, his interaction with the crowd is remarkable and his mixing abilities are simply top notch. Respect for organizing it all.
FFUUZZIIOONN ‘at a boi!!! Those are the monster sounds that make me come alive, granted it’s not Techno but hard trance did it for me last night. That was one sweet set brother, we’d love to have you drop another bad boy like that at the next ta event.
Cheers
