DJ's like Digweed are not boring. Progressive is just not supposed to be uplifting trance. I wouldnt call it boring and before I go any further, I love both prog and trance and almost everyother electronic music.

I agree in that mag editors sometimes post opinions, in fact most of the time. I do believe "FAMOUS" DJ's get overpaid but most of the time they do deliver quality. Digweed for example , I saw in his TECHTV interview that he sold over a MILLION Copies. Not that many DJ's sell that many records. If a million ppl buy your record , its hard to argue that your musik is boring.

New Blood needed you ask? Absolutely. Aren't we always on the look out for new blood. And yes , new producers and dj's arise all the time. Perfect example is James Holden. He is relatively new and is just pure talent.

And I agree with NADI, If you get an offer of $10,000 a night, are you gonna refuse it? Fuck no! And remember , these guys are in high demand so its sort of like an auction. The clubs that pay them the most get them to spin. Simple. No club wants DJ FAMILY AND FRIENDS spinning. Whatever , lets just enjoy the music.

very pointless argument guys..

i love my prog just as much as i love my trance..

i just cant beleive some of you people take mixmag's articles like they were the bible!!! if youd remember these magazines were repsonsible for trance's glory days of 99 and then in 2000 they tried to make a mockery of it saying it was dead etc (when in fact it was still the most popular genre)

diggers rocks!

peace

How about very pointless thread. It's just another Prog vs Uplifting thread.
