yooOOoooooOOo- sorry for the late review me and nat stopped in ft. laudy- anyways WOWZA that set was fucking amasing...very hard and banging...nice meeting zewad, tc fan, and seeing caryn (i love you girl feel better), ian, foxy (you slut), and anyone else i forgot...highlights of the night were otro dia (sounded awesome in a club), suzann (it will always be suzann for me), and the ta click singing the words to "i feel you" while all the peeps looked at us @ space like we were crazy-fun times...can't wait til feb!!!!

wow.....What a set. at one point i decided to figure out what bpm he was playing at. after counting for 2 one minute intervals (b/c i didnt believe it) i counted 148 bpm. out of control.


does anyone know what kind of effects he was using? was it built into the mixer or does he bring his own effects machine? let me know b/c i want to get whatever he had.

he used the echo on the Pioneer EFX-500... (if you reffer to the metallic sound he used lots, and it was omfg on the 'nothing but you' as his first encore).

well, i wish that my night went better, of all times to get a stomach bug!

i started feeling queasy on the plane from jfk to fort lauderdale, but thought it was just because i had been flying for too long.

met up with alex and natalie, THANK YOU FOR PICKING ME UP AT THE AIRPORT!!!, and still didn't feel quite right. went to Miramar to meet up with one of alex's friends and get ready for the evening.

headed to south beach to a wonderful german restuarant (how better else to begin the night??) and had three sips of hefeweizen (germans also have the best beer in the world, imo) and that was it. anything i put into my stomach from then on just came up in a matter of 30 minutes or so. i left the restaurant to lay down in the car before heading over to space.

once we got to space, i was so fortunate to find an unused chair at the back bar that just happened to be right next to a garbage can. absolutely perfect. that garbage can became one of my best buddies that night...

HUGE THANKS TO: Ian, Arturo, Alex, Natalie for helping me out that night. hehe...they stood in front of the garbage can to hide me while i was sick so security wouldn't see. as paul hit the decks, i proceeded to be ill...what a mess!

felt a little better, so ian and i headed to the dance floor where we met up with arturo and alex. stayed there for about three tracks, then didn't feel well. couldn't get off the dance floor because it was packed and no one was courteous, barely got to the bathroom, and at that point, i knew i had to leave. the smokiness, crowd at space, and not feeling well just got to be too much.

i left after blackeight-silence (oh how i love this track), the only 4 minutes or so of the night that i felt ok.

the hour that i heard of paul's set was excellent, but it only got better after i left...

hopped on the plane at 7:25am (worst plane ride of my life) and got to dc at 10am...the rest of the story to be continued in the ny forums for my review of pvd at glow.

once again, i just really want to thank: alex, natalie, ian, and arturo for helping me out so much friday night. thanks guys!

PvD FUCKING OWNS!

Insane set. My night didn't go exactly as planned, but then when does it ever. Arturo, I missed you somehow. We must have been close though cus those pics you posted look precisely like the ones I took I went inside right after I called you (no problem at the door by the way ) and went looking. You said you'd be at the first bar but I only saw one bar, cus the rest of the club was shut off. I looked around for you for a friggin long ass time. I finally gave up about the time Paul was supposed to come on and went to the front on the right side of the booth and dance with my girl untill Paul came on. He spun an insane set. Amazing. The crown responded nicely, overall wonderfull. Best set I've heard, definatly. I didn't get to hear the encors or the last 3 songs he played cus my girl got to feeling bad and wanted to go home. Evidently Sex on The Beach is NOT her drink, lol. So we jetted out when Paul's set was almost over.

Sorry I missed all of you, but I had a great night and I'll put up my pictures once I get them developed. I have pics of the crowd also. The roll may have some AK1200 pics on it too if tonight goes well, so I'll wait to put them up.

We shall meet soon Fox, lol.
