comparing quality, 2002 trance is not as original as 99.. but it has evolued, though not much.

but instead of telling people to don't buy bad stuff, why don't we all start buying the good stuff?

I really hope no one limits themselves to what Tiesto, PVD, AVB, Ferry Corsten, and the rest of the big names play. Especially if you're a DJ, you really will struggle to find some originality with these limitations.

I agree that much of the music played by these big name DJs sound alike these days, but not all of it. There are still a lot of original melodic trance tracks out there. You just have to find 'em, buy 'em, and play to educate. Otherwise, like someone said earlier, go buy Pro Tools and utilize your desire to hear something different to create your own unique sound. Who knows, it may be a hit......

exactly... i dont know where ur getting ur music amit, but i really suggest looking harder.

as for the original point.. i dont think trance has gone downhill.. theres still the same amount of good tracks about as there was in the golden years off 97-99 (if not slightly more) but along with that there is a vast amount of shite that u have to hunt through.

as for DJ's playing the same tracks.. go see a DJ. it might change ur mind

you've been told
all you have to do is look throught the suggestions for track of the year last year, they all didn't come out within a week of each other did they??

Trance is always changing so deal with it. Look at the pre 98 stuff. It sounds a lot different from the stuff being produced now days and even back in the so called "glory days" of trance. If you don't like new trance then take all your old albums and stop listening to the newer stuff. It's the easy.
