I dunno everything sounds very simple and a lot identical to the original, also very muddy. Watch out for those leads, way to high.
Perhaps due to the volume problem.
Not really impressed, boring and unoriginal
Seems like a rushed remix too.
Keep trying tho!
Cheers,
Disgusting comments!
The production on this piece is class, definately one of the best I've heared from amature production. Its certainly not rushed either, I know Luke and Chris have been working very hard on this for quite some time.
The synth leads are explosive and grab you, they don't just fade into the background and are forgotten. I could see this going dowwn a treat on the main dancefloor of Gatecrasher, along with their mix of 'Cloudwalking' which is nothing short of brilliant.
I think you may need to compare this to a lot of recent 'trance' releases, as the production of most of them indeed lacks the quality of this piece.

Sorry, have to agree with him here. And its not a "disgusting" comment. The leads are definately too loud. also, i think there should be some pads in the back ground of the piano.

Personally I think they are fine
The 'whole track' is much better than alot of the rushed crap on the high street and indeed a lot of the tracks we buy Dave.
I havent heared much better from amature producers on here I have to say. Only really Robs mix of your tune beats it 'production wise'.

Well, because there might be some flaws with the volume on the leads doesn't mean it's a rushed remix... Making mistakes is human for god's sake
Trust me, I know how long they've been at this. And editing the leads isn't really a hard job, just some good remastering might do the job and bring out the pads a bit more to the front as well.
Will you do this slight re-edit for me Luke? Only if you want to and have the time for it that is.
Greetz,
Wim/LW

I don't see that as disgusting. Compare the production to The Scarab - Vagabond (another thread in this section), now that's well produced. This one is pretty good, but it's a little bit simple IMO, could use more layers of synths, percussion and fx. The melody is really nice, but that's Lightworks' work I guess
