what the fuck has fruity got to do with this, if im not mistaken, robstar got his tune properly released, a tune he created on fruity and as nukleuz said theres a lot of people using fruity and coming up with some great sounds. and as for the hard trance being shit thing, im not even going to start arguing with you on that, that ranks with some of the most narrow minded comments ive read on these boards.

infact - have you ever heard a flutlicht or a s.h.o.k.k track (just my favourite two producers as examples for arguments sake) - their tracks are brilliantly layered, climactic and excellently set out. different from anything ive heard before - so how can they sound the same as every other hard trance tune?

lol that fruity comment might get more flames than the hard trance one.

i should add that i dont think fruity is shit, i use it myself. I mean some hard trance tunes sound like theve taken 5 mins on fruity and just stuck a few effects like flanger & reverb over them.

i didnt mean that - my post wasnt that clear. i just picked flutlicht and s.h.o.k.k at random, theres a lot more hard trance that im actually not that fond of that doesnt have the generic sound i think youre talking about.

Hmm and you think its strange that you get flamed

Why start a discussion with a topic like this?

that's asking for flame.. next time try to use a more tactical way to make your point.

Think you may have hit a nerve or two there Tsunami.

I especially liked these comments:

quote:
Damn you're soo open-minded dewd... NOT!

quote:
hahaha, fuck off you cock head, diversify ur tastes

quote:
australia... the country renowned world wide for its contributions the dance and trance music scene

quote:
more uptempo than some of the BORING prog outthere

quote:
Probably just those shite aussie djs again mate. Feck off.

quote:
you obviously showed that you dont like hard trance, and you have no means to back up what you sed, so i suggest you go back to making shit soap operas like 'home and away' & 'neighbours'

You accuse him of being closed minded, but then attack him personally for not liking your style of music? Everyone's entitled to their own taste in music unless they happen to dislike yours, is that how it works?

Bloody hell, I'm sick of this bandwagon crap. Personally I can't stand hard trance for the same reasons Tsunami and Insomnia^ gave above, but why the hell do you care? I don't whinge whenever anyone shits on my style of music, or - in this case - on my local club scene (amazing how much you fellas seem to know about a scene you've never even encountered before eh?) so what the hell do you care if I hate hard-trance? If you enjoy the music, listen to it and feel free to discuss how great it is. Just try not to take personal offence at the fact that not everyone shares your views and that these contrary views will get aired. If hard-trance isn't "shit" then feel free to tell us why instead of launching half-arsed insults (that were so hackneyed that they failed to be in the least bit insulting as it happens) and telling everyone who dislikes your music that they are wrong. Some people in this thread have had some decent things to contribute, but it seems like the rest of you are just a little too thin-skinned to use an impersonal internet forum without getting so easily offended.

most of it suck, yet there are some quality stuff. examples:

dj energy - excelsis (s.h.o.k.k. remix) -> dark madness
cosmic gate ft. jan johnston - raging (storm) -> hey, it's jan johnston!

i hate too that cheesy trademark sounds on many tunes, that makes them perfect for kids and wannabes. though i admit it's something wicked to dance to. but apart some exceptions, most of it ain't deep enough for my musical taste.

btw, DJ Scot Project - Overdrive is one of the most over-rated tunes ever. sucky piece of cheese. (IN MY OPINION of course)

and.. techno > hard trance. not deep as well, but it doesnt have cheesy trademark sounds.

OVERDRIVE!!!!! overrated ? what planet are ya on ? it's one of the best uplifting hard tunes ever made, the bassline is awesome and at the time it was made was also unique, the kick is hard, the bass rules, and the main tune makes u wanna cry, if you can call it bad, you seriously need to remove the excess water on the mind, cos it's everything but that.

on the other hand u have progressive, with no style, slow and boring, and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz can u blame us for wanting some exciting sounds rather than watching some dj like digweed not enjoy playing
