flame away fellas..the truth is we are the number 1 world power these days because we protect our interests...every world power has done it since the beginning of civilazation...Britain did it before us, but instead of oil, u did it for coal and spices.
who ever said we call native americans "indians"...it was actually cristopher columbus that started calling them that because he though he landed in the west indies. he was a european. u also have to realize that this country was colonized by europeans..they were screwing the native americans way before america was even a country, the french and indian war, which was a result of the seven years war. then the spanish came here and wiped out entire civilizations of natives from north and south america. that was done for gold and land. even our name was created from a europen explorer Amerigo Vespucci.
if u want to talk about WWII..we didnt come into the war until we were attacked. pearl habor was attacked unprovoked..and yes many civilians were killed in that attack. and if u really want to bitch about destroying countries..look what russia did to eastern europe after WWII.
so all the people who think we are such a terrible country..look at your own countries history..i think youll find that there isnt much of a difference...the only thing is, we are on top now. this is a capitalistic world we live in, like it or not. if you disagree with capitalism, sell your house and move to some third world country to live in some grass hut and raise your own food...but when a famine or a drought hits and you cant feed yourself or your family, make sure you dont accept any american aid, so u can take your stand against capitalism and you can watch you and your whole family starve to death.
