The easiest way to prevent procrastination is by actually doing shit!
Simple as that...

supposedly we are supposed to sleep only in 3 hour increments 3, 6, or 9 hours. that is the amount of time it takes for our brains to go through the sleep cycle. i sleep 3 hours a day on weekdays..on weekends i sleep 6. im never tired and i dont have a hard time getting up in the morning. i think i have a sleeping disorder though.

Depends on the person, but you could give it a try with minimal risk of any long-term effects.

I have a rare condition called non-24-hour sleep phase syndrome, which is usually found only in blind people whose bodies don't respond to the sun any more. I have great difficulty forcing myself into a 24-hour schedule; my normal rythm is usually about 34 hours (11 sleep, 23 awake).

I don't think that it's in exact 3 hour increments. Maybe 3 hours is a ballpark figure?

now i can't get to sleep till 9am, when lectures start! do you have any idea what lying in your bed just burning a hole through the ceiling for 8 hours every night is like?

i wouldn't recommend a 36-hour sleep cycle, but you could give it a go...

I know what it's like. I "burnt holes in ceilings" for hours before. It's terrible because you just can't get to sleep when you WANT.

Not every person's cycles are exactly the same, nor are all of one person's cycles exactly the same in length. You are correct that 3 hours is merely an approximation.

I heard that one "cycle" is about 90 minutes. If you were to wake up at the end of one of these cycles, would you feel better than if you woke up in the middle of a cycle?
