He originally did the remix for Transcend records, before the original was signed to lost language. Dale originally couldn't do anything though as LL had already set up the remixes.

However, one of the original remixes didn't turn out to well, and Dale asked if his Kinetica remix could be used. Unfortunately he was told although the remix was good, it wasn't LL style. So he asked if he could have another go at doing something different and Ben Lost said yes.

The result being.. 'Dale Askew's Liberation Mix'.

Ben liked the new remix so much, Dale was then asked to remix sonorous' second sun, which he applied the same stlye of production on and corked out another amazing remix to sit nicely next to the other remixes.

thanks for the great info! still a sahme though that the kinetica remix didn't get on the ll releases!

no prob skip, dale's a good friend of mine and im sure he'll be delighted to read your post in this thread! - ill let him know!

i think it's a shame aswell, as does Dale baout the kinetica remix. I can't help but disagree what Ben Lost said about it not being right for LL. To me, the goldenscan mix is inferior to the kinetica mix by far. I think the D.A. and M.G. mixes are out of this world, with a close second of the original and Kinetica. Finally i have to say that the goldenscan dosent bring out any of the emotion found in the original work of the track and even though it is goldenscan who produced one of my fav tracks of 03 (of our times) i cant help but feel this is the weakest version.

as for the rejected remix, does anyone know who's mix it was?!

another interesting fact about broken pieces is that Robert Nickson was originally meant to remix this, but was changed over to remix karada - last flight instead.
