Man.....I dunno about you being nominated for the 'longest post award', but if I'd only seen your post before I made the 'Ban the TA Veterans' thread, your name would've been on there for sure for doing that! LOL!

Call me crazy, but I think it's worth the read. I mean, I think it's important for people to realize how this gut-wrenching overcommercialized genre actually started from a rebellion against commercialism.
Maybe there's a lesson to be learned here?

There's shitty, cheezy, Alice Deejay type trance (IBM commercial coming to mind). There is also amazing semi-commercial/underground trance that not many people get to listen to, and that's what makes it even more appealing to those who are into it.
There's also shitty commercial rap/hip-hop like we've all seen on tv and heard on the radio. But there are also very real, very talented artists out there who may not get noticed because they're not the stereotype or because the genre's already saturated. Point is---you saying "all hiphop sucks" because of what you hear on tv is the EXACT same as a hiphopper saying trance is pure fucking gay cheeeeze because of Z103. Also, when it comes down to it, underground rappers are a hell of a lot more talented than your 17 year old computer nerds making a beat on his basement computer and calling it trance.
