eHow to Make a Black Cow by Catten Ely
Region appears to dictate the name and contents of this cold, sweet drink. Known as a root beer float, a black cow, a brown cow, and a sassy cow, this all-American favorite is a snap to make. This recipe serves one.



Ingredients:
2 scoops vanilla ice cream 8-12 oz. root beer, sarsaparilla or cola 1 T chocolate syrup
whipped cream maraschino cherry


Steps:
1. Chill a tumbler.
2. Add the vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.
3. Slowly pour in cold soda until the glass is full.
4. Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry.
5. Serve with a straw and long-handled spoon.

Tips:
This can also be made with Yoo-Hoo or any carbonated drink.
Try different flavors of ice cream for variation.
Frozen yogurt and diet sodas are healthy alternatives to ice cream and pop.
If you pour the root beer too fast, the glass may overflow. It's best to pour a little at a time and let the foam settle before adding more.
