Hey, this is cool - good to see some cricket fans on this forum! Then again, I really haven't been checking out the postings that much so I don't know how many TA's are cricket fans, but this is still pretty cool. Nice one on the Aussies winning the WC - those guys are leagues ahead of everyone else. They got so much talent, they could field two teams at the international level and still kick the crap out of everyone else. I didn't expect India to win, but I was still really disappointed with our performance in the finals. AUS vs. WI coming up, and I expect WI to give them a run or their money. SHould be a good series.....

I'm already watching this closely, with Aus without Martyn Warne & McGrath, it'll be interesting to see what happens, Plus i'm looking forward to seeing young Lawson from the WI who can bowl over 90mph and some say may be faster than Lee & Akhtar in the end

Ive watched cricket highlights on Fox Sports World for months.. as much as i watch it i still have no clue whats goin on.. can anyone explain the basic rules and how scoring is added?

Well, first days play has finished. If it wasn't for chanderpaul, the windies score would have been a joke. 3rd fastest ton in test history. 237 really isn't enough when you are playing australia, i mean, last i heard, we were 1/120.

Agreed, we dont have a lot of our best players, but we have so much depth, that it may not even make a difference.
