I totally agree with Rakoon. If we could just get swampers permision perhaps, he can delegate the task of making a new layout. I am sure there are many talented people who could accomplish the task without it taking years to complete. Lot's of people would want to help with the site (myself included). I am sure if we just got a commitee of the most talented, it would help get things rolling.

*edit* it would also help with maintenance and other cumbersome tasks.

well we don't necessarily have to change the background, but there are many other improvements that could be renovated.

On Swampers part all it takes is opening a new forum (its not like we dont have enough new ones anyway). I dont know how the rest will work exactly, but you guys are smart enough to figure something out.

I enjoy the simplistic style that this has..

however, I have always been one for simple class, dignity and professionalism, over the flashy trends of other sites, forums, etc...

I say, just keep the small changes, and work towards an equally professional, classy looking layout/style, that would create the same effect. The grey and black alt. posts should be kept imo. It makes things much easier in my opinion.

and take a look at trance.nu for a white forum.. :-/

The front page needs a little help too however. not quite as nice as the forums..

i think that Swamper should keep the black/grey background with the kinda green text.

Theonly thinigs that need changed around here are (imo) the buttons for Reply, New thread etc etc. I think they should be more slick looking and currently they dont fit with the rest of the stuff round here.

oh and get rid of the lamers too lol

I like it as it is! I don't come to this site b/c of the layout.
If this site where a TXT file I would still visit it.

I've looked at the unreal sites, and I still must say I like this layout the most. Btw, their layout isn't that different, except the last one with white background which I don't like at all. But, you know, it's hard to be for a new layout without seeing how it will look like.

Alright, so we should keep the black and grey alternating backgrounds.. but I say we get a better shade of grey. We should also change the Profile, Register, etc. and the Post New Reply, etc. buttons. I say change the logo at the top and the logo that says Forums. I also think we should change the New Posts, No New Posts, and Closed Forum buttons next to each forum on the main forum page. Lastly change the color scheme of the text... maybe to different shades of bright green/yellow since they work best with black... or maybe different shades of bright blue?

I guess if we did everything mentioned above it would look good enough. Nothing too flashy but altogether a professional look.

Heh Rakoon sorry to say, but you're the only one I see supporting the NLM in there sig. :P I say TA is good the way it is.
