Dude what the hell are you talking about? Reread the reviews again. Scott was ANYTHING but dissapointing. Of course if you love prog and hate Trance, you won't like it. Personally I thought his set was as trancy as it gets.

Hey don't get me Wrong I love trance but from what I herd Scott wasn't mixing it as good as he should be, thats what brought alot of people that I know down. As for the music I'll bet it was Trancy

^^^Uhh, how can anyone that plays progressive 'rip' it up? The only DJ in the world that can play progressive proper is Sasha, everyone else aspires to play like him. Regardless, we were all told on Friday night that progressive killed Gatecrasher so much so that they had to go to a monthly and bring back the trance. Sure enough, Gatecrasher is rocking once again even though it's not 'kool' to listen to trance, right?. In theory progressive should work since it is very good music, however in practice it doesn't, period. And for all of those who will flame me for this: wait and see what will happen in Toronto.

Unfortunately I only arrived at Viva around 1:45am with Scott, itikia and Swamper therefore I cannot comment on Ivals's set, but I am pretty sure it was a good setup for Scott.

I think the first hour of Bond's set was sort of a build-up, with many well known anthems and the such. After that he played some harder new stuff that really got everyone going (I could see all the hands in the air from the booth). But after the hard stuff he went back to some anthems which I fealt didn't fit with the flow of his set. All in all it was very good music, however I believe the programming wasn't all there. He had spurts of brilliance throughout his set, however I fealt he lost the crowd at times with the massive 10 second breakdowns that were all too frequent throughout the set.

In my opinion I think his collegue Matt Hardwick played a much better set that had the 'magic' that really drives everyone nuts over the course of a night.

From what I heard, Scott will be back and likely as a tag team with someone else in the near future! A Gatecrasher event in Toronto sounds like a great idea and I believe Scott thinks it is also!

Next up: JOHAN GIELEN

For those who witnessed what this man did the last time he was at Viva will not miss this event that's for sure!

I think the prog heads posting in this thread are way uncalled for. You are totally giving all of us a bad fucking name.

Brunette...Scott Bond, what the fuck were you expecting?

I'll take Nat and Ilia's (sp?) word that he played a solid set. Cheers.

LOL, my name is probably the most misspelled name on TA
Even I don't know how to spell it properly. It's "Ilyia" in my passport, but essentially all other interpretations such "Ilya", "Ilia" and some others work too

You guys are hi-jackin the reviews of this party by posting your own ignorant comments...

"Duh trance sucks, we should of went to system."

Yeah you should of. I'm one of "tribal dirty dark prog" heads, but I wouldn't go to this party expecting it to cater my needs. It's fucking Scott Bond. If you don't like trance, base you opinion of his set and the party on WHAT HE DOES. Not what you like.

A lot of the wars on this board (IMO) started when the uber trancers took over the digweed roll call, or the reviews of Deep Dish. When they had no business even looking at the thread if they were just gonna promote negativity. NOW a few of you are doing exactly this to poor Scott Bond, and thus giving the rest of us (said prog heads) a bad name.
