Yeah, I would have to go with Mexico City I suppose.....
Who knows?? It looks like a shitty ass place to live though.

My first guess was mexico city.
Bored as i am i even started searching for pictures of the city and here is what i found:
i think the first one is really similar...what do you think?
yes those two are very simlar to what is on xpander
another thing that may help us here: i have the 12" and on the inner sleeves for the records, one of them shows a very large freeway junction with a car-park underneath it, and next to it is a large flat building with a car-park on top of it...
the other inner sleeve shows a residential area which does look a lot like LA... reasonably large houses and palm trees along the roads..
anyone from mexico city or LA in here?

heh i wouldnt be surprised if it IS Tokyo.. tokyo is dull like that.. inner city area at least but it looks too summery to tokyo even for summer time.. lol..
a thing to note.... if the cars are driving on the right side, it surely isnt the US cuz they drive on the left side... and US i think is one of the few places if not the only that drives on the left side of the car..

Precisely. During his conquests, Napoleon homogenized certain conventions in continental Europe such as the metric system and driving on the right (of course it was with horse drawn carriages back then) all to make trade much easier. I learned that the British, in defiance of Napoleon, made it the law to drive on the left. Hence the reason most of continental Europe drives on the right while England drives on the left side of the road.

Not mexico city
i say this because i dont see any VW bugs. Most of the taxis are Old VW Bugs and there are so many, you would see at least one in the picture! i dont believe it is anywhere in mexico for that reason. Everywhere i went reguardless if it was a tourist town or a little village, there were VW Bugs everywhere!
can we assume that the record sleeves are the same city??
if so, the Xpander/Belfunk sleeve shows what looks to be like an American highway w/ the Green signs and the Blue/Red highway emblem. There is also American security/police cars in the parking lot of the middle of that highway loop. On the back of it you can also see a yellow taxi cab on the highway.
