wow...a bunch of ignorant-minded fools in here. all you people make it seem like you're some trance-supremist by saying "mainstream" music or music OTHER than trance is horrible, cheezy, and unlistenable. IMO thats not only one of the worst songs on the radio atm, but John Mayer is about as talentless as they come. But thats just my opinion...

i'm usually not really closed-minded towards music, but in this post i'll try to be as ignorant as possible.

most of the trendy pop stuff SUCKS DONKEY BALLS. what i don't like about pop, is that VERY RARELY artists do it for the music's sake + to bring people enjoyable feelings.

IMHO, pop concerts = popularity + MONEY.
DJ parties = the amazing feeling you get when the buildup comes in and the 40,000 crowd throws hands in the air and screams. pop doesn't have that, IMHO. plus, many people listen to certain pop tunes, because it's trendy to do so.

now, POP tunes come and go, but electronica tunes stay. can anyone name me any pop classics? where's britney spears now? backstreet boys? counting their money?

50 cent. pfft. who the hell is 50 cent? one of my buddies is nuts about them (he's 15 lol).

I'll admit, i'm negative towards pop because it's sorta trendy for TA's to do so. but the biggest reason is that i don't like the people associated with pop (ie, the artists, the population who listens to it; their motives).

50 cent is a rapper with great skill.
he was 'trained' by Jam Master J, is now signed with Shady and Dre, and has great lyrical flow. his rap IS old like biggie and 2pac, and he IS more hardcore than either of them either was(yes, he has been shot many times, and has bodyguards to protect against further threats)

great album.
check out some of his older mixtapes if you can find em for a more 'street' style of rap.

Oh yea, Im sick of people saying stuff like there just in it for the money, or they dont have talent, its all the producers, kinda like you all get when people say "dont you need to be high to listen to trance". And no one listens to a particular style of music to be popular, it doesnt make any sense, not when there are so many diffrent styles that have mass popularity(rock/rap/more "popish nsync stuff" etc etc etc)
