getting back to the topic, i have had a pvc 175 for half a year now and the paint work is fine. just dont use any water when cleaning it. i cant compare it to the numark cause i never had one but i would suggest that you save up and get the 275 mainly because you cant hear the eqs of the cued track through your headphones on the 175 so you dont know what elements of the song are what and dont really know how the mix will sound until you actually do it. my mixing is suffering because of it and i am thinking of already upgrading to the 275 when i get the money. my friend has the 275 and it is pretty sweet.

The topic was about mixers around the 200-250 price range but homo there brings up about his djm 600 but any how your pcv 175 is a great mixer. I had the pcm 170 but now own a A&h xone 62.

g-money, i think u gotta be more subtle/tactful with your comments.
virtually every post i read from u seems like ur havin a go at ppl.

with the whole biz with the djm600, i have one. and i honestly don't think its anything spesh. its not a bad box and overall its ok, but for the price, i really don't think its worth it. why do i have 1. i got mine shit cheap. sound quality is ok, nothing great, eq's are nice, and well, its simple layout is what makes it desirable i think. its sampler/effects i reckon are an after thought, i really don't like it and think an FX pad is a better option. djm600 also heats up like a mofo, the thing jus has too much gain. i like it for its cue split tho *shrug* but lots of other mixers have that.

as for mixer in the price range, check out vestax pcv 275or eclers. i really like the ecler smac=pro range. they jus look and feel so damn sexy! the sound is quality over the djm600, and just touching the box/knobs n faders, u just know its quality!

Thats true i admit i'm harsh on my post but in these forms there are alot of homo's out there that think they know shit but really they don't thats why i have to say that kinda shit u know what i mean. Like that fag project t he thinks he knows it all and think i can't afford a mixer and shit but to tell u the truth dude i have more money than his family can ever save up.

g-money, you are entitled to your own opinion. However, please don't go calling people homo's because of their choice of mixer. you are bringing nothing useful to the discussion whatsoever.

I'm not sure if you know, but Project T is not only a really nice kid, an excellent DJ (who won a trance addict mixing competition), but also a mod of this forum. which means he could have already edited or deleted your posts, or even suspended you i think. I'd have already done so if i was mod and you were insulting me and my family.

you'd be wise to watch your tounge if you want to be respected on these forums.

I'm actually thinking of getting a 175 cos of the price, but after reading this...im wondering whether i'll have to save up some more cash Can anyone confirm the clicking on the kill switches? And also, does the 275 come in blue hahahahahahh

275 is a very nice mixer for the money but a 175 will do too.

Yes there is clicking on the eq kill and lots of times, with my friend's 175 before he got rid off it to buy one just like the one I had, you could hear those clicks over the speakers, and NO sorry, 275 doesn't come in Blue, it is sorta like darkish silver color:

One thing that I really liked about the Numark Matrix 3 were the EQ Kill Switches, they are 2way, you can toggle down and hold for a long as needed and simply release, or you can kill the frequency by moving corresponding toggle switch up(this way you don't need to hold the toggle switch) simply push toggle switch back to the middle when you want to turn that EQ frequency back on. Plus kill switch on 175 or 275 is only -24db, Numark Matrix 3 is -40db, much, much better EQ control, plus I know 175 doesn't have balanced master out and I'm not sure about 275 outputs, but the Numark Matrix 3 has 1/4" balanced output, separate booth and unbalanced master out via RCAs, and you also have punch IN/OUT Transform buttons, and cross-fader is assignable.

actually, pointyDC, the PCV275 is quite costly in aus. about 1000-1200au. in the states, its virtually equivalent to the price of the djm300, which can't help but make u feel a lil jibbed if u were to get one here.
