first of all, if you've never heard the sennheiser hd25's than you should because the difference in sound is crystal clear. It's not a small difference in sound, IT'S A BIG DIFFERENCE in sound.

Secondly, it's soooo comfortable, it weighs less than half of any sony. It's that light!

Thirdly, it doesn't have that "tunnel sound" that most/if not all dj headphones have. You hear it close up, crystal clear as if you weren't wearing any headphones.

I've used sony 700's, sony 600's and pioneer sedj5000's and sennheiser's wins hands down.

You can get refurbished HD-25 directly from www.senneheiserusa.com for $189 ($290 canadian) ... I've seen them new in record stores for about $320.

If you know somebody in Europe you might get them for even cheaper - they go for about DM 350 in Germany (which works out to $230 Canadian or $150 US) which is an incredible price, even after paying for shipping.

Stop throwing eggs ppl! Everyone has differently shaped ears and heads so what provides perfect frequencies and fit for one is not necessarily the same for another. Senneheisers are good phones but I'd like to see them work a bit on the comfort/build factor. Sonys seem to better bang for buck. Senneheisers ARE clearer though. As for me I'm using my trust pair of AKG K301's (Sigh!!)

Can't afford anything else right now and they've got VERY reasonable sound for the money 80US! Since I'm not doing pro stuff (one day maybe) I'm not prepared to spend pro money on them. Besides I like spending the doh on clubbing or my PC instead. LOL!!
