the clash of music styles just ruins the whole thing.... bt, then ferry is ok, but holden before, after or between??..that just doesnt match

You'd be surprised Liam, I think Holden can hold his own after BT and before Ferry, totally.

BT isn't exactely as trancey anymore as you think either.

I'm anxoius to see how BT's set goes. I got a feeling he's gonna bomb but I'd like to see him come up with some interesting shit.

Either way this is some fun dj talk. weeee

Hmmm...can't say i'm jumping for joy reading this either. I can understand Holden, Hamel and Addy in the same room because they will all spin progressive, whereas Ferry is definately going to be churning out the trancey stuff. Regarding BT, well i guess his music is difficult to classify, if he drops his earlier work it's liable to provide a good segway for Corsten later on (Flaming June, Namastai, Mercury & Solace definately have a tranceir element to them). Still, I am glad it will be in the KH, because like most people have commented at least you will have a place to dance.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ferry shifted to the Guv though, let him chug out the anthems with Mark and leave the KH for the prog heads !

Thank god for the move. I'd much rather have all the big names in the KH. Having to travel from room to room would have been a pain in the ass as its always been. Especially since I'm shooting the event. Not to mention the fact that the Orange Room is R&B/Hip Hop - what the hell is that about??

In terms of crowd, it'll be a lot better too. As much as I like Mark Oliver, most of the regular Sat night crowd will hang there for the most part. At least those that have no idea who the headliners are. It'll be nice having the people who appreciate the talent in one area - it'll be a better vibe I'm sure. That's how it was at Tiesto - and honestly it really wasn't as bad as everyone thought it would be. We were able to get from one side of the KH to the other within minutes DURING Tiesto's set. I've never really had a bad experience at KH and always found the crowd to be great in there. The only time I felt it was a bit too crowded was at the Delta Heavy tour. I think it was a good move putting them all in KH - you'll get to see them better than you would in Guvt anyway.

Confused

Well, I think it makes more sense to group Holden with Hamel and Addy to finish him off cause they're more darker and it would be more logical to have them later, deep into the night
The website also lists Holden after BT and Corsten, though that's not much of an indication since we don't have the times yet.

yea, it does make more sense...and I hope they are later on at night, so that way I can chill in the Guvernment and listen to Mark O drop some nice prog and then move into Kool Haus for the main show. I wanna avoid "Fairy" Corsten that night. His performance on Oct. 6th was less than boring :-\ :-\

They should move Hamel and Holden into Guvernment with Oliver.

I think it'll be BT opening up and then possibly Holden and Ferry after. I can't see an uplifting Dj open completely, and no BT isn't completely the same style as Ferry as he is doing a "live set" that's remixed, ie, it'll be a little different. As for the other dj's (Hamel and Addy) I'd rather put them in the beginning because having completely high energy in your face trance pumping straight from the beginning will be a little weirdness in my opinion. I'd rather start of with tunange I can groove to, chill to and work up the vibe with the trance/melodic stuff afterwards.

heh All this talk about Holden being darker makes me chuckle. He's the fucking god of pixie trance. He's more of the Sasha side of prog, not the Digweed side. I love how people dismiss it as dark prog if it doesn't sound like Armin or Tiesto.

I also think it's funny how people are complaining. Do we ever not complain? This lineup is incredible, regardless your personal feelings towards which dj you think is better. We should be kissing their ass, not the other way around.

That is the number one argument against Toronto, we are picky snobby bastards who always bitch. Montreal, they let it ride. Personally, fuck Montreal, I just think we could learn something from them every once and a while.

(where the hell did this rant come from? I guess I just really like the lineup and no one is commenting on how sweet it is)

Someone has to say it...
Thank you Charlie!

Awesome!
Now I won't have to worry about trying to make my way to GUV.
I'll just pick a spot and stay there to dance my ASS off!

Also, I really really can't see BT playing ANYTHING older. He's reknown for always being cutting edge and he has a new album coming out. Expect fresh shit. AKA NOT LIKE FERRY.

Tiesto was insane for two reasons (as mentioned above)

1) The closer to the stage the worse it got. There was nowhere to move unless you were at least 40 to 50 feet (10m to 15m) from the stage. I had to squish through to get to the front just to see Tiesto from 5 feet, and at that point, I didn't know if I'd get out alive. lol..

2) That night KH installed some new subs (according to the manager who I spoke to earlier). They had the bass WAY TO POWERFUL! halo20 and I got smoked by it.. It made the hair on my arms move and if I had a full stomach I would have been a mess.. It was vibin' my whole body.... I only felt safe from the bass at +30 feet.. even then it was crazy..

Confirmed!

This party will own. If anyone will bitch, don't go. Simple. Or better yet, do NOT have expectations regarding any party. If you do end up having expectations and it doesn't meet up to them then it will just ruin the party so WHY even bother with that? Just party damn you!
