hmm...that or the choonz lack the emotion that was once there for the older ones. i mean, the the majority of the uplifting sound today is a lot more repetitive and lacks 'feeling'. the older stuff had much more appeal, a lot more fun to listen to.

yah, i totally agree with you...sometimes i think maybe because uplifting/melodic has gotten so saturated that maybe producers are starting to run out of ideas? Probably not but a possibility? I guess the reason i'm starting to turn towards progressive also is because uplifting often seems too exaggerated/obvious and has a rinse and repeat feel to it, even some good productions...

yeah i hear ya man. i think producers are running short on the creative scale when it comes to uplifting melodies. it might also be because they might be following the 'formula' of uplifting trance too strictly? ya konw? peak, valley, peak, valley, etc. *shrugs* i dunno...but i hope they bring back uplifting at one point.

yah, i've been waiting for the last couple months to hear something uplifting that just blows me away but to no avail, i d/l about a bazillion tracks and end up keeping maybe like 1/30 and those are only the ones that i like not love.....oh well. Like even if i know it's a quality track, it just doesn't give me the same feeling. Like recently i d/l a track by central seven - air (london mix), and i know if i heard it sometime in the past it would've blown me away but now i'm just like "oh, that's a good track" Newayz...i'm rambling now haha so yah blah. BTW wut do u guyz think of that track i just mentioned?

drudown and lynx, i feel you guys. ive felt the exact same way, and wondered if truly? producers could come up with anything but stale, repetitive ideas for uplifting trance now.
but im reassured... my new shipment of vinyl has be very excited, and i think there is more to come.

check out productions by Impact - Kemistry and Modular Control (amazing!) on In Trance We Trust label

major quality there

and as i said in another forum, the mindblowing Matt Fulton - Rain Or Shine (original / moogwai remixes)

these show there IS hope yet, if people put in the effort.. im already getting sick of the armin/vdm sound in some cases, like
touch me remixes pt.2
