Good point. If you'd just went and bought them in the first place, then you wouldn't have this problem...

Hey man, sorry to hear that but you learn from what happened and that's a good thing!
Backup your shit, at least I do... you'll get around the problem somehow!

C'mon, give the poor guy a break .I feel for him, and I think if you had lost 10GB worth of mp3s you would want smart answers FAST. I think this thread would be eventually moved over to Chillout so no biggie.

I did exactly the same with partition magic (TWICE!), both times lost around 15gb of mp3's. It just seemed to freeze up half way through it. Both times I ended up formatting, and I havn't touch the program since. Ive bought a 2nd hard drive now to keep all my stuff like mp3's etc on , saves all the messing about creating partitions.

OK here's an update. THis new program I downloaded, is called R-Studio NTFS. I installed it, and put in the serial which came with the .nfo file. It says it is registered, but like the other program I was using, it limits recovery to files < 64KB.

Yes I know; I should have made backups. This is God's way of saying, "don't procrastinate, FFS!"

King

if i was in the same situation, id

download a few demo recovery programs and crack em all

then go-for-gold and try to revive the hard-drive

if it dont work, usually when something goes wrong on my comp, it stays

i'll take the hard-drive to a mates and get it inspected and see if he can get some music back
