How does the Pioneer 1000 stand in a club environment? What is the best headphone to use in a club setting?

Very Excellent, Christopher Lawrence uses them and so does Ferry Corsten. A few of my friend's use them in clubs as well, (our club capacity is 2500, and Christopher Lawrence and Ferry Corsten have both played there). HDJ1000, I wouldn't trade my pair for anything else on the market.

i have both the v6s and the HDJ1000's and i personally like the v6s way better. The v6s give out very clean sound and its very accurate as well. The hdj1000's are a bit bassy and it drowns out some of the detail of the song. But i still like it. I think for bedroom djs, the v6s are the way to go.. but pvd uses them in clubs also so go fig. The hdj's are good in a club environment cuz they have good isolation. And as a dj headphone i think they're very good. Much better than the widely used v700 which i find heavy and poor sounding.

Although this is JMO, Professional DJs, sales numbers, and lots of my friends prooved to me that I bought the best DJ headphones on the market.

Just because they're popular and big names use them, it doesn't make them the best headphones on the market (not saying they aren't, i haven't tried them out so i cant' say first hand)

As someone mentioned, lots of big name djs are PAID to use certain equipment, so its not a real good argument, and neither are sales numbers (which goes to show that companies sponsering djs to use certain equipment in fact does improve sales)

just look at the djm600...by far not the best mixer in its price range, but its the industry standard (though that's changing imho)

It appears as if the V6's are the best headphone for a bedroom DJ. I have yet to try them out, but I think I'll look into them before dropping $150 on a pair of Pioneers which remind me too much of the Sony 700's. =\

nice! I'm thinking about getting one. $129, that's the best price I've seen thus far. How is the price on shipping and how long did it take to arrive after you paid?

This comment is possibly the most laughable ever.

The fact that judge jules is loosing all respect over here faster than a 50 year old looses his fertility suggests that his opinion on the matter doesn't really count. Besides he uses the hd25 sp model and I can tell you they are shite.

Just because jules said so doesn't actually make it so.

Does it ever occur to you that if the headphones you sampled are all black and the pioneer 1000's are black and silver then they are different headphones entirly hence the reason for the poor dound quality you discovered.

The ones you sampled are the pioneer dj - 5000 headphones which are a good bit cheaper.

Also, colour is NOT an indicator of the headphones' sound quality! I've personally heard great-sounding headphones that are all black, and some shyte ones that are silver...
