Here is a friendly advice:
For those who think that medicine will save you-think twice. Today doctors can do almost anyhting for $$$$, so if you guys feel like paying four or five digit amounts in the future go ahead. ...or simply buy cheap ear plugs in Pharmaprix for 2$ pair(or the onces Kate bought), if they block too much sound cut them so you hear all you want. Also, insert them in the begining of the night at Aria(before getting into the main room)-because if you stay near the speaker for 10-more minutes and put ear plugs after...trust me you won't like it.

p.s. I've been in afterhours since 99 and first few months neglected the loudness ...then started using earplugs and hearing loss stopped!

It's not the clubs that will kill my hearing, its the headphones and the 6 hours of music I listen to everyday that will do it!

I was one of the first to wear earplugs at loud places and was often laughed at :P now people are buying them at the highest prices.. Anyway, just my 2 cents worth, earplugs save you from that funny noise after-taste AND, most importantly, next day headaches! Don't worry, there is no significant loss as to the quality of music you're hearing, and it's easier to listen to people talking to you. I haven't been paid to say that, but I found 3M to be the best brand

the ones kate bought , they are the best in qualité/prix , you can get something better only if you're ready to spend more than 200$ (US)
