Saddam is responsible for the murder and torture of millions of Iraq citizens. The fact that if you are in any sort of opposition to him means that you will end up being killed by him and the fact that he is a brutal oppressor makes him what I consider a dictator. He rules by fear. His country is essentially in ruins. What has Bush done? The majority of Americans support this "war". He has not oppressed any american citizens. He has not gone out and actively murderded and tortured people in the opposition (democrats ). I fail to see how you can possibly even take yourself seriously after that. President Bush is by no means a dictator. He was elected in fairly (like another poster said, if you've got a problem with the electoral college system, then go to capitol and try to get it changed. Believe it or not, but this all boils down to one thing, without Saddam in power, many less Iraqis will die. Sure this war will have casualties but FAR fewer than if Saddamn was left in power. I don't necessarily agree with this all out war on Iraq but let me ask you this:how would not getting rid of Saddam be helping the Iraqi people?

bush is a BENEVOLENT dictator, so its all good

Bush is neither benevolent nor a dictator. He did get to power through legal means, although those legal means were unfair. I'm sure that if something like that would happen in another country, the US would keep talking about that country having an unfair voting system, though. He still can't be considered a dictator, although he can do what he wants, because he enjoys large national support. Now, he being benevolent is a totally different matter cause he's far from it.

turn on the news and quit crticizing. its already started and there isn't a damn thing you or i can do about it. as much as it doesn't seem like it, bush is just trying to kill the Saddam regime and liberate the people of Iraq. The Iraqi people deserve to have freedom and need to stop being cheated out of their money. Saddam pockets the millions or even billions of dollars Iraq makes from oil. It should be spent for the people considering that there basically is no middle class of Iraq and they are all poor. Bush may not be doing it the right way, but he's trying. Saddam has had plenty of time to disarm or whatever but he refuses which resulted in war.
