I did Computer Systems Engineering too (at UTS for 5 years).
I was working in PricewaterhouseCoopers Management consulting services until IBM bought us last October. Now I'm in IBM Business consulting services. My title is "Consultant", which means the company can get me to do anything, but most of the time I work on projects developing IT systems for corporate clients. I'm working in Canberra for a few months, I've been put in a nice serviced apartment in Saville, and I fly back to Sydney on weekends, though I went to Melbourne once for Two Tribes. I'm still hanging for an overseas trip... a friend at work is going off to New Zealand pretty soon. I wouldn't mind a trip to Japan or UK. I've started working with Peoplesoft systems over the last half year and that may mean more opportunities for travel. |
Hey, you're not that guy I met at Mombasa a bit over a month ago (can't remember when though, maybe Peewee Ferris on 13/02/03), also said he was working at IBM and was from Sydney. If so, it really just strengthens the whole Canberra effect thing. Everyone knows everyone from somewhere here. Very freaky coincedence.
