Shame / Disagreement

well,

FUCK WAR!!!!

I know what goes on in saddams regime, what i don't like is the fact that it's bush who's doing it. i don't trust him or rumsfield as far as i could throw them.

no band wagon hopper here, i've been protesting 4 10 years. not as much as i used to though, seen too many police stations from the inside...

About 3 weeks ago I changed my mind about this war, I watched some documentary about the reigme in Iraq on discovery or History don't ask how I watched them channels I was just channel hopping anyways. He is fucked in the head, I saw this Baath party conforence with about 200 of Saddams minsters sitting in a massive hall, it was recorded on Iraqi tv, and it had Saddam reading out a list of about 25 people who were supposidly against him in his party even though it was a random list it was like the purges some these blokes hadn't done a thing to him and he read out their names some sat their with dignity and got pulled out their chair by soldiers others stoud up and pleaded they were innocent, others just sobbed, out all the ppl who got called out only 2 ended up surviving after being tortured for days and being told they were to go into exile.

And if anyone thinks that Qusays bad, his older son Uday is 100Xs worse, Saddam got a second wife which to Uday dishonoured his mother, he found out who introduced Saddams second wife to him and it was Saddams food tester, their was supposidly a meal in hounour of Egyptian president so Uday walked in with a baseball bat or an axe handle and bludgeoned this food tester to death in front of about 200 people his punishment. Sent to Geneva to work at the Iraqi Embassy.

In this I think everys open to their views with this war however, If you protest I think your fucking stupid, as you will not stop the war Washington and Whitehall are the only ones who can stop this war, and all your doing is wasting the polices time, they have to watch and check these protests run smoothly, it takes 100s of cops to look after these protests doing that your leaving this country unsecure your giving terrorists an open window to carry out attacks as the cops are too busy dealing with fucking spastic school kids, and Eton school toffs.

I know people who are against this war, but one thing they are doing is supporting the troops if you do that and you fucking should, its honourable and it shows to me you have guts and pride.

And North Korea do they scare me NO! their little bastards if it did kick off in North Korea I'll fight I'll fucking massacre the little bastards their fucking chior boys.

Word.

The anti war protestors are stupid imho, Is it really going to take another september 11th type attack to show them that all evil dictators need to be dealt with, and before Joe starts, bush might not be great, but he's a lot better than saddam etc, I saw footage of a village in iraq from the last war that Saddam unleashed chemical weapons on, what kind of person does that to his own people

no dictators ordered september 11th
it was a terrorist organisation
Saddam Hussein is an evil dictator
Kim Jong-Il is an evil dictator with nuclear weapons and has threatened a pre emptive strike on the US
get where I'm going with this?

Mate. I do believe we need to stop North Korea too, but I don't see that they will attack us first, and as we're in Iraq atm we have to do that right so it doesn't need a third go. N.Korea is serious enough to need full attention, and atm i don't think we could do that

Ian, they've said they are going to do a pre emptive strike nuclear strike on the US.
They also shot down an american spy plane the other week....
this is a very real, dangerous situation.
Saddam Hussein was doing fuck all, not planning to do fuck all, and was disarming, albeit with the military watching over him.
In a few months he'd have had absolutely nothing left. No need for war.
as rob3rt said, the situation with china makes attacking north korea very difficult
it's going to be even more difficult now the US and britain have told the UN to fuck off, as most countries are now going to automatically veto any kind of action against n.korea automatically, whereas before we'd have had france, germany, and possibly russia on our side over this....

Yeah, I gotta agree on the China thing, and maybe this is why the US aren't attacking them to start with, as much as NKorea worries me, I guess we can't just go attacking them, sadly we need provocation that China & Others agree with in being serious enough to warrant sorting them out, the worlds pretty screwed tbh

NK isnt stupid. it knows that any nuclear attack on any nation would turn world opinion (even more) against them, probably even the chinese will back off then.
a nuclear strike by NK on the US would be suicide. alltho there would be massive protest by the world against the US using any nuclear weapons on NK (after being attacked themselves offcourse), i doubt it would do any good.

however, if the US tried invading NK to prevent a nuclear weapon used against them, it would surely involved china. they'd back NK 100%, and with an army of 10 million men, even the US couldn't handle it.

in short, i think it would be very unlikely the US will invade NK anytime soon, purely out of fears of china's involvement.

NKs Missle devopment:
quote:

North Korea

North Korea has hundreds of Scuds and No Dong missiles and continues to develop the longer range Taepo Dong-2, which will enable the North to target the United States. In May 2001, however, Kim Chong-il unilaterally extended the North’s voluntary flight-test moratorium—in effect since 1999—until 2003, provided negotiations with the United States proceeded.

Ballistic Missile Programs

Taepo Dong-2. The multiple-stage Taepo Dong-2—capable of reaching parts of the United States with a nuclear weapon-sized payload—may be ready for flight-testing. The North probably also is working on improvements to its current design.

The Taepo Dong-2 in a two-stage ballistic missile configuration could deliver a several-hundred-kg payload up to 10,000 km—sufficient to strike Alaska, Hawaii, and parts of the continental United States. If the North uses a third stage similar to the one used on the Taepo Dong-1 in 1998 in a ballistic missile configuration, then the Taepo Dong-2 could deliver a several-hundred-kg payload up to 15,000 km—sufficient to strike all of North America. A Taepo Dong-2 flight test probably would be conducted as an SLV with a third stage to place a small payload into the same orbit the North Koreans tried to achieve in 1998.

No Dong. The 1,300-km-range No Dong remains the longest-range ballistic missile North Korea has deployed.

WMD Payload Options

The Intelligence Community judged in the mid-1990s that North Korea had produced one, possibly two, nuclear weapons, although the North has frozen plutonium production activities at Yongbyon in accordance with the Agreed Framework of 1994. North Korea also has chemical and biological weapons programs.

Foreign Assistance

North Korea is nearly self-sufficient in developing and producing ballistic missiles and has demonstrated a willingness to sell complete systems and components that have enabled other states to acquire longer range capabilities earlier than would otherwise have been possible and to acquire the basis for domestic development efforts.

I find that anti-war protestors lack intelligence and the ability to think for themselves. They are all sheep, jumping on the bandwagon because their favourite pop star says so or their favourite actor. These celebrities who are publicly anti-war are only trying to boost their own reputations. The political parties going against Tony Blair are trying to gain voters by taking the opposite view in a contreversial decision. For once the Tory party should be applauded for backing the PM on this one!

Its all to do with propoganda, we are bombarded with images of civillians losing their lives through the current bombings. Yes it is wrong but it is not in vain as we are trying to remove a threat to the people more than a world threat. We should instead be showing the terrible things Saddam has done during his reign, showing all the innocent people he butchered, this would surely make the anti-war protesters think.

The anti-war campaigners are going about things the wrong way. Seeing an ambulance being held up by these blockades they set up around Glasgow made me think, what if someone had been dying in it. Obvioussly this was not the case or we would have heard about it, but these anti-war campaigners have no thoughts for anyone but themselves. Most of the school children who skipped school to protest only done so because they thought they would be cool if the walked out of class. Notice that there were not as many young kids protesting at the weekend protests...
