anywhow,

i used to own of one these ouiji boards when i was in jr high. ever since that movie the craft came out my friends and i decided to try it. like someone said, those things worked like a charm. and the little thing slides around so fast even if neither of you are moving it. the thing is that you never really know whether the other person is moving it or not. SUPPOSEDLY its yer subconscious moving the thing and youd be surprised to how powerful it is. here's the scary part: i took it to one of those church retreats and we were playing it and all of a sudden, the priest gets all worked up about the game. he says it is sacrilegious (sp?) to play that and that it opens the door for spirits of evil thoughts. he told us kids to BURN it. THAT was fucking scary. not the game itself.

question is >> if the game truly is "evil" in some way, why the hell do they sell it at toyrus and is made by the same company that makes monopoly and other child games?

in conclusion this game cant be "evil". its all just superstition

i'll add something else for u guys to consider...it'll sound crazy, but bear with me. i'm not pulling your leg.

i'm from taiwan and some friends used to do this. you really don't need the board...the concept is simple. you write on a piece of paper all communicable letters and numbers, a yes/no and a some sort of exit (for when to end the conversation). this works in any language. i'm from taiwan and some friends used to do this in chinese. all you do is have two people hold on to a pen lightly, and u ask any nearby spirits/ghosts/wuteav u wanna call it, to join your little circle. and then u ask it questions.

that's the basic concept of the ouija board...but i am not lying when i say it works as i have described above.

i kno different cultures have their different ideas about the afterlife and such, but even if you dun believe in shit like that, my advice is be on the safe side. i've heard and taken part on some crazy shit, so i'm never going near that stuff again.

say what you want, but my opinions on this are set in stone. :P

edit: as for toys 'r us selling it, if u do some research on it, the company that used to make it, Parker Brothers, stopped producing it after a lot of stories and shit came up. go figure.

I've never tried this before but do belive that it works cuz even my mom/grandparents have told me about it (don't think they'd be lying).

Its something you shouldn't fool around with b/c some of the spirits refuse to leave after and start haunting you (they'll do anything from suffocating you while you sleep to getting you very ill). I've heard that many people have had to cry/plead the spirits to leave after trying it(in worst cases they end up calling these witch doctors to help get rid of the spirits)

my advice: Don't try it.

However, if you still want to...then try it during the September full moon. I hear that is when all the spirits are let out.
