all i got to say is poor poor Briere...Vern heard you text Kel and because she knows how nutty I am about the NHL she called me with the news about the Rangers. Great additions imo

My comments on the Rangers:


I was pretty sure the Rangers were going to get either Drury, Briere or Gomez. I didn't expect them to get 2 out of 3.


Drury was the one guy that I wanted. I would have been thrilled if the Rangers just got him and stopped there.


It did not surprised me at all the Rangers got Gomez as well. He loved playing at MSG throughout the years. I wish the Rangers didn't vastly overpay for him.


That spoiled brat of an owner James Dolan decided to open up the wallets again. I'm just fearful of a cycle of getting multiple over the hill free agents like they did from 1999-2004. I can only take solace that we're not trading away prospect after prospect this time around

my beloved canucks did nothing. they need to improve up front. i would have loved to see gomez in a canucks' uni but that isn't going to happen anymore.
