one of the most amazing nights i had in montreal, was sasha and steve porter at aria when it was decorated like a military base. that was when sasha was amazing. I have alot of good sasha memories including partying with him one night at my friends apartment in boston, but he has really fallen off.
so youre telling us its a shame hes not playing the latest stuff on the market ?
as much as i respect you and what you bring to the scene, i think what you just said is bullshit and very pretencious.
has nothing to do with playing new or old stuff. youre opinion would have some value if you based it on something more intelligent then " you dont play the newest stuff out there " ...

In his defense, I think he meant that people praise sasha because of the tunes he plays that no one knows and thinks are super new etc- but in reality if you are looking for that it's right here at home. I don't think he meant its the be and/end all of what's in a good dj.

i dont see an issue with not playing old stuff at all, i bring back tunes which are like 4 to 5 years old that have gone under the radar and when they are dropedd!!!!! lol they completely destroy a dancefloor and besides alot of the music that has been coming out lately is crap ... thats just my opinion. sasha knows what the deal is i mean he freaking brought back xpander in london on the 16th THAT WAS REtarded insane !!!!!!!!! people were loosing the plot on the dancefloor i think you guys well be impressed with him on the 28th but on another note dont be surprised if he drops alot of minimal and techy sounding stuff.

louis, if thats what i was trying to say than i would have to hate myself. there is absolutely nothing wrong with playing old stuff, most of my sets are made up of older stuff. allied nations was exactley right in the point i was trying to make.
I was just saying that sasha is not the same as he used to be. the magic isnt there anymore like it was. no need to take it personally at all. i will always like sasha, i just dont have to like what he is doing now.
sasha used to have his own sound that i loved so much, like with airdrawndagger and involver and the stuff before that, now he is just playing what everyone else is. the sasha sound is not there anymore.
if you guys want to see what sasha will be playing in 4 months than check out deep blue at bain mathieu for new years, or dizzy tuesdays, or telephunk at daome.
