that's b/c there's so much parity in the nhl these days, the margin between success and failure is so small now. Teams like Vancouver, Buffalo, Tampa, Carolina and Ottawa were dominant not too long ago, and teams like Philly and Washington, Boston, Pittsburgh and Montreal have risen to the top again. Anaheim couldn't even get out of the first round.

The only constant is shitty Toronto

I think whomever wins the next game in this series wins the whole thing. There's probably an overwhelming stat somewhere that supports game II winners.
