Steako Deluxe

2 12oz fillet steaks
3 large Mars Piper Potatoes
Half a cup of grated mature cheddar
Full fat milk
50ml of single cream
1 red onion
1 yellow pepper
1 courgette/zucchini
Punnet of mini portabello mushrooms
6 cloves of garlic
6 mini plum tomatoes

Peel, cut and boil potatoes until mashably soft.

Whilst they are cooking, peel onion and cut into 6 segments.
Core and deseed the pepper, and cut into 6 equal pieces.
Halve the zucchini lengthways, then cut each half into 3 equal chunks.
Halve 6 of the mushrooms.

Chuck the above, along with the whole mini plum tomotoes and garlic cloves into a bowl, add a liberal amount of olive oil, and a small amount of basil and mix well to coat.

Add to roasting tray and cook at 200ºC (390ºF) for 20mins.

Season each side of the steaks with some ground salt and some olive oil.

With 10 mins left for the veg, cook the steaks in a pan/griddle at max heat for 3mins either side.

Place steaks on plates to stand, and drain the taters.

Add some milk to the tater pan and heat, then add the cheese and some cracked black pepper and stir in until it starts to melt. Then add the taters and mash those mofos to hell and back, adding the cream near the end and ensuring it is warm all the way through.

Dollop some of the cheddar mash on the plate, and serve up the roasted veg.

Nom nom nom!

I was gonna make a tuna melt to go with my Campbell's tomato soup, but I forgot I had no mayo.

So instead I just added some fresh basil and oregano to the soup, plus dried parsley flakes and chives. Then I put croutons and grated cheese on top.

Tastes like pizza!
